The global tour that Michael Jackson performed in 1992 under the moniker "Dangerous" is used as the musical’s story line to give an in-depth look at Jackson's creative work and all the major events that occurred during his career, commencing with his time in The Jackson 5 and moving through his solo success. This production has been nominated for a remarkable ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Leading Actor in a Musical for Myles Frost, who is making his Broadway breakthrough as the pop singer in this show. Christopher Wheeldon was also considered for a Tony Award in both the director and choreography categories.
